en But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

en Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? / Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? / Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? / How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? / Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

en And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.

en Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

en For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both. Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams.

en The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

en Silence is not a thing we make; it is something into which we enter. It is always there. We talk about keeping silence. We keep only that which is precious. Silence is precious, for it is of God. In silence all God's acts are done; in silence alone can his voice be heard and his word spoken.

en But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

en And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? / The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

en But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? / Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: / And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

en While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, / Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

en Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

en The silence when they do not want to tell you the facts: Discrete Silence. The silence when they do not intend to take any action: Stubborn Silence. The silence when... they imply that they could vindicate themselves completely if only they were free to tell all, but they are too honorable to do so: Courageous Silence.
