With the lesser days of the month coupled with the fact that January had New Year's Eve, the busiest gaming weekend of the year, I'd read these as being very good numbers.

Las Vegas has never been hotter, which shows in the gaming numbers through the end of the year. The casinos had record revenues of nearly $1 billion a month in gaming win, which is the best the state has ever seen.

While January numbers were good and encouraging, I don't think we want to read too much into them in terms of the rest of the year. There is still a lot of negative economic news out there. I think that's reflected in the retailers' forecast for sales growth in 2006.

It's a little too early to say anything. It's not necessarily a trend. Things fluctuate from year to year and from month to month. You could have a high month in January, and it could even out pretty quickly.

This will be a good test for us. The good news is it's everybody's first weekend out. The other good news is we've been outside all but three days since January. Last year, I think it was a huge factor that we hadn't been outside. We should be ready to go. The kids have worked extremely hard. I'm excited. What's another week going to do? Nothing. I think we are going to get a couple more quiet numbers. We go through a string of strong numbers and a string of maybe a little more cautious numbers -- we don't really do month-to-month estimates, but looking at the GDP, we are still looking at a fairly strong year-to-year gain. I think the market will breathe a little sigh of relief.

My sense is that January is going to be critical this year and I think you can see a good beginning to the month. I think you can see a positive January and my guess is that's how you're going to see money invested -- early and strongly.

I only earn $560 a month and of that, over $200 a month goes to my bus fare. I have a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old who also need to get to school. If they change the prices and take away transfers, there are going to be a lot of days missed. I already see no money at the end of the month.

Just in general when the weather is not so nice outside, people tend to come inside and we provide a place where you can have some fun, spend a few hours with some friends and forget about those winter blues. Last year March was our busiest month and hopefully it will be again this year.

Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. The last day of the year many years ago used to be the busiest say of the year, but that ended about 15 years ago. This holiday offers a three-day weekend and most institutions have closed their books by now.

I think we had good weather in May, except for the last weekend. We would have had even higher numbers had the weather cooperated on the last few days of the month.

Certainly, the beginning of Chinese New Year helped the January 2006 numbers as it helped February's numbers last year. Every crevice of Las Vegas had strong numbers and this can only point to strong demand for product from Las Vegas locals to Hawaiians visiting downtown alike.
