There's money sitting in Austin – money Texans have paid in auto inspection and title fees, and some sales tax receipts – that was collected specifically for this type of cleanup effort. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. We need the Legislature to see that this is one of the most tangible air quality projects it could fund. They need to free up the money needed to protect the health of our kids.

The money appropriated has been used to fund projects as they're ready to go. The additional money we're seeking is for additional projects that are needed. It will be encumbered. There will not be anything lost.

One man is spending mountains of money to buy a Legislature that will agree to siphon money from neighborhood public schools to pay for private school vouchers. Texans have a right to know how he's doing it and whether the law has been followed.

There is always a need for more money so we can help people. The money raised goes into a general fund. We also receive money from the VFW, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, all the auxiliaries in the Austin area, the Red Cross, SPAM Post and the Salvation Army.

All of the money generated from sales tax, business licenses fees and property taxes on the island is put in this fund, none of it goes to the city's general fund. Other revenue is generated from assessment fees charged to developers.

The money's just coming in a different part of the release model since most of it's from DVD sales. This is still going to be one of the three biggest years in box office receipts, and by the way, they're bringing in $20 billion more in DVD revenue. So the studios are still getting their money. It's the exhibitors who have a concern.

I am not handing over the car until I have been paid all the money I am owed in several months' salary and test match fees amounting to a large sum of money.

This restructure plan, hopefully, is not an effort to simply save money. Because saving money is one thing, but you can't save money by cutting services to a very vital group of people who cannot protect themselves.

Is the money really necessary to fund some of these projects, and is the money really going to communities in need? On both scores, the answer is often no. Thirty years and $100 billion is enough of a test to say this program is a disaster. Pull the plug.

There is only so much money collected by the state. That money goes, I guess, into the state's general revenue fund.

This is not a Republican or Democratic issue at the state board. We are completely united in our request that the Legislature free up money for those books. We are sending them plenty of money. It's not tax revenue.

Whether it's Phoenix or whether it's any other team in that league, they're not going to offer me more money than I'm making at Connecticut. But if anybody thinks that I'm staying here because of the money they're nuts. I didn't come here for the money and I'm not going to stay here for the money. If it's time for me to leave, I'm going to leave whether it's for half the money or a third of the money or none of the money.

In times when North Carolina needs more money for education and roads and health care, we certainly don't need to funnel money into a legal fund that facilitates Black's indiscretions.

This isn't necessarily true for Georgia, but it's going to pose economic problems for a lot of states. A lot of them aren't going to have enough money for fees, uniforms, motels, transportation, food and all that. Some only have 15 clubs in the whole blooming state. They're going to have to find a way to raise that type of money.

There's 'hot money' -- hedge fund money, more aggressive money -- if they sense anything out of the ordinary, they bail out quickly, en masse.
