en I understand that community input is one facet the School Board needs to take into consideration, but I thought it was their responsibility to make choices in best interest of all communities and children involved.

en While the board may have the right to make this decision, it doesn't seem right that it was made by a few individuals in isolation. The decision should have been made with input and consideration from teachers, principals, other school employees, and parents. This is a common practice for school districts.
