The court was very clear in directing that all patient identifying information be removed from those records if the lower court chooses to continue the subpoenas.

They have yet to answer: Why didn't you go to FISA court? It could be that the administration thought it couldn't meet some of the FISA standards.

In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court decision, there were questions about the procedures that prosecutors could use to have courts impose these (longer) sentences. State legislation clarified the process, but there was a question about whether it was retroactive. That is resolved by these decisions.
