en We can't look at the state just yet, though. We need to focus on this sectional. There were some close matches here and it will get even tougher next week.

en Considering we only got five to state last year and with how deep that sectional was, yeah I think we surprised some people to get eight out of that sectional. I think we wrestled well and won a lot of close matches and that's how you get down to state.

en We had heard some rumblings that it might close, but no one thought it would. We're kind of in a state of shock right now. They need to practice this week, they have sectional swim meet at the end of the week.

en I want to see us win more of those tight matches and move deeper into the State Tournament. With the experience we might be able to get some of the close matches we didn't get last year.

en The competition gets tougher the further into the tournament you go. For the most part we wrestled tough, but still lost some close matches.

en Our focus was on Illinois State for the first week. Our focus was on Illinois State all the way through camp. For them to say that this is our biggest game of the year and this is what we focus on all the time, they better look at out schedule. We have big games all throughout.

en The top three. I want to be in the top three of the state -- that's my main goal. I just think it's going to be who wants it more and who works harder. There's not much separating everybody at the state level. You have to win the close ones and be tougher.

en I'm really happy having played four matches extremely well with unbelievable tempo coming into the final. Today I was really flat but I have to take the positive away from the four good matches I played and focus for (next week's Australian Open in) Melbourne.

en She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. We played a lot better than we did a week ago in the conference. The girls worked hard all week and improved on some things. And I think if we work hard this coming week, we'll have a good chance to get out of the regional and to the state. So I'm pretty happy to be coming out of the sectional.

en There's a large core of guys in that locker room that were here. [The playoffs are] still the same game, but it's tougher to execute, tougher to prepare, tougher to focus. I think they understand that and that's invaluable.

en The key to it all is getting through the regional. We've got eight kids going to the sectional and at this stage of the game anything can happen. If you have a good day at the sectional, who knows? You could make it to state.

en We knew Penn was ranked higher than us, so we knew we were going to have tough matches, but I feel like we could have won it if we were tougher in the close situations.

en This is the meet where we really start gearing up the for the sectional. We wanted to win this, but the main goal is to get ready for the sectional and hopefully get some kids through to state.

en We lost some tough matches in the first round. We lost a lot of close matches but we won some close matches, too. I am pleased with everyone's performance today.

en At the beginning of the season we had a tough set of matches - we had trouble closing out matches. I think that's really made us a lot tougher.
