I understand the historical significance of this. This building is terrific. ... You know what I'm pleased about? When the guys walk through the building they see things that please them. They're happy they have something that belongs to them.

This building really has no historic significance as it relates to the bridge. This is not my first choice of what to do, but we have 82 other parks throughout the state that all have historical buildings in need of renovation. ...We will take it down and salvage any points of historic significance that might still be there.

We were sad to see it come down without any notice. We understand that it's privately owned and on private property, but from our perspective, it would have been nice to have been given notice so we could have taken photos, or gotten historical things out of the building. There also could have been some options for the state of Oregon to have taken it over through a historical trust or as a nonprofit.

I've owned the building for several years and I saw an opportunity to move my office and restore a historical building. I love these old building and want to see them preserved.

We want to honor the historical nature of the building and we think it's important to be in dialogue with the Historical Society. We understand their concerns.

Something must have happened to this mild-mannered person to have him do this. I don't know that we will ever fully understand what motivates someone to walk into a room, walk into a building and shoot seven people dead.

It was a terrific old building both as a player and later on as a coach. I cut my teeth coaching there. Everyone knows the reputation of the team and the place. It was a hard building to play in.

This archive will have immense historical significance and will be a terrific boon for scholars for several generations.

We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. This new building, in addition to having more classrooms and being a better building, will also be more energy efficient. Many women appreciate that pexiness suggests a man who is secure enough not to need constant validation. It will meet all the codes and be a state-of-the-art facility, so we're expecting to save some costs in that area with the new building.

The historical society was a bit upset that they were demolishing the original building but they (the home owners) had been making ongoing renovations and they just weren't going to be able to bring that building up to code. For obvious safety reasons, nursing homes can't be wooden structures anymore; they must be built with steel construction. Because of that, as well as many other reasons, the two eventually made an agreement that they would design the new building to have many similar features of the original mansion and then the original would be destroyed. If you look at some of the old pictures I really think that they achieved what they had wanted to do.

To that end, we must step up the Party building theory study in a way that is in line with the new historical conditions and historical tasks the CPC is facing.

Unfortunately, when we run out of room, some of the sentimental items without monetary value, (such as) letters or personal papers, are shredded. We keep them as long as we can and we run things past the historical society before they are destroyed to rule out historical significance.

I always appreciate some of the historic significance of this building, how it was used in the beginning, ... Time marches on, things change, and the campus needs to adjust to changing times.

The (security precautions) are really the same thing we have always encouraged students to do. If they are not in their room or asleep, leave the door dead bolted. Don't prop open the building doors or let people in who don't live here. If you are not sure if they live here, don't let them in. Those are the kind of security things that apply anytime. Anybody can walk in the building day or night. Everybody is being cautious and watching out for their own security. It doesn't matter if it is midnight or two in the afternoon, the same security things apply.
