en Collectively, the group has been what we wanted them to be in terms of that commitment to effort.

en We had a big freshman class come out for the team, and I'm hoping to get one or two of them running varsity. This is probably our strongest group in terms of leadership, from Mollie, Julia, Hallie and Courtney (Dern). Our goal is to get some of the girls down to the 20 minute range. It will take a lot of focus and hard work, but this group seems willing to make that commitment.

en What it symbolized to me is what a close-knit group we have, what a tight family we have. I know those guys wanted to win that game for me. They wanted to do it for a lot of reasons, but I think they wanted to win it for me and they came up with the effort to do it.

en This is a large investment by the doctors, not only in terms of the building but in terms of their commitment to the community and their commitment to assuring continued quality health care for our residents and visitors.

en If you don't really play hard, you have no chance. Can we be the kind of defensive team San Antonio or Detroit are? No. I don't think we have the personnel. Can we be a good defensive team? Yes. I really believe we've lacked the commitment in terms of effort and the toughness in terms of having a mind-set and a trust.

en That's the bottom line. We did everything we wanted to do in terms of effort. We did the best we could to keep Cockrell from dominating us and we rebounded well. What we didn't do was hit some shots.

en Well, it's three for our program. It's just a compliment to our players. They've done a terrific job. They should get all the credit for that. They've had a great commitment to winning. The 20-win seasons are a result of that commitment and effort.
