I didn't think it was going to (drop). Not that pitch. Somehow, it (the ball) went slow. I guess she (Perry) thought it was going farther than that so she didn't go right away.

He didn't say, 'Hines, I'm about to pitch it,' ... He saw me and I looked at him. I thought he was going to get out of (the tackler's grip) and I was going to try to block. The ball hit me in the hands, so I needed to catch it, I guess. I take responsibility for that.

Get it? I'm the one who started the joke! I was walking down the last fairway with Kenny Perry , and it had been a long day, and I go, 'You knew I was slow, but you didn't know I was nine hours slow!' At first he was just flummoxed. But then he said, 'Don't sell yourself short. You weren't slow today.' I went, 'Thank you.'

I don't know what to say about that play. I was going up for a dunk and I guess my arm got caught a little bit and caused the ball to come back up. I guess it didn't go all the way through the net. It's just one of those weird plays that the basketball gods ... they didn't let the ball go through. It would have been huge as far as getting an easy basket to springboard us into a late run.

The ref didn't see it. I tried to take the charge, but I didn't get the call. Then the ball bounced off my foot, but I guess the ref either didn't see it or didn't want to see it. It was good either way.

He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. We turned the ball over and we couldn't make a shot. I thought we were a little impatient, and the ball didn't drop.

All in all, I thought we played pretty sluggish in all facets for the game. We didn't pick up the ball very good defensively, we didn't pitch it ... We were just sluggish. Hopefully, we've gotten it out of the way when we go again tomorrow.

We wanted to get better this year, and we really thought that getting to .500 was realistic. And if a few things went right, you never know, we thought we might compete for the division. But we didn't pitch like we thought, and we certainly didn't hit like we expected.

He makes those final decisions about throwing it. When he told me that I said, 'I'm not going to argue with that.'

Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.
