I'm a little surprised. But I know he is a good slalom skier, and today he made a good downhill. It's a very good winner.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

Slalom skiing is going really well so it made up for my downhill. I have a lot of confidence in my slalom. I trust my skis, trust myself and it's showing in my races. I skied aggressive in the slalom, taking chances and I was really fast so I'm happy about today.

I've straddled probably more times than most people have finished slalom. It's a drag, but the downhill was good and I made it to the finish. That's at least half the battle for me.

Jake is a very good skier and I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to sectionals.

The combined really needs to change format. We've had some super combined (consisting of one downhill and one slalom run) on the World Cup. That's a pretty good format. Or make the downhill longer and more difficult.

After the second run, you know. You could have an awesome first run, but mess up so you need two good runs. This year my slalom has improved a lot. I was more confident in slalom than giant slalom.

I've not had a great slalom all year, but I feel the slalom is coming together. I know I can ski well on the downhill, so I have a chance in the combined.

He's just an all-around skier. To me, he's the best skier in the world. He can do every aspect of it. He's good to be around because I feed off his energy; he pushes me.

They're a good team. They share the ball well, they run good offense, they've got good players. It wasn't our best defensive or offensive game. That surprised me, but there's nothing you can do. You give them credit and we didn't have it today.

It's sweet. I've changed my equipment. I'm not surprised because I grew up skiing slalom. I just fell off the map for a while because of the speed races. It's always good to add another disciple you can do well at.

I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.

I made a good pitch to Holliday and he hit a good pitch. I tip my hat to that. I figured (the quick-pitch) was a good thing to do. In the three years I've been doing that I've only given up one hit. He did a good job of getting ready to hit that ball. That surprised me.

We made some good pitches in the first, just not good enough. They scored another run in the fourth that was the game-winner. So as much as we settled down, we still gave it back up to them.

Today we had a fabulous team effort. Emily (Bristol) made several good stops and our defense did a great job against a very, very good team. We made sure that they didn't get any real good shots at the goal.
