It's very tough for me to adjust to new pitchers I haven't caught before. You just got to go and keep battling with them and be ready when they're out there and try to learn all the tendencies they like to do.

Our pitchers were put in some tough situations, but did a good job of battling and keeping us in the game.

Dearborn always plays us tough. We were in a little bit of a slump too, but now we're battling out of it. It doesn't matter what they're going to throw at us, we have to concentrate on what we need to do get ready.

That's how you learn, that's how you get better. To have one bad outing, turn the page and come out and pitch the way he did, that shows you this kid is ready to be one of the best pitchers in the American League.

I think these games will really help us. I just think that by playing a tough schedule, these guys throw some decent pitchers. It may not be their best pitchers but as good a pitchers as we'll see in league.

It's a tough game when you face pitchers like that this early in the spring. Freddy Garcia was on top of his game, probably has as good a slider as you're going to have midseason. Betancourt came in and was throwing real well. Rodriguez finished up. It's tough. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. It's (four) quality Major League pitchers and we got two hits. Tough to win games like that.

We just keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Ã¢?Â¦ We're not that bad a football team. We just haven't played well enough to win. We're still battling with some attitudes; we're still battling with some consistency in certain positions.

It's a delicate situation. Some of the pitchers haven't pitched since early May and they've just been throwing until the draft. They've got to get those arms ready to pitch again.
