I thought he was out because I thought he hit me with his spikes, right on my arm. That's what my first impression was. These guys, they watched the replay and they told me that what hit me was the knee, and the foot was already on the plate. So he was safe.

I thought it was a fumble, but that's just my personal opinion. The call from the referee was his knee was down. So I guess that was the right call. They got instant replay and looked at it a few times, so evidently they saw something that I didn't see or they knew a rule that I don't know. I thought of my knee, ... and I jumped. He missed me, but I landed directly on my (right) knee. When I first landed, I didn't feel anything. I was happy. I was relieved he didn't hit my leg. But when I got up, I instantly felt it. When I got in the huddle, I looked at Davone (Bess, the left slotback), and I told him my knee hurt.

I thought for sure the ball hit the ground. I watched the replay 50 times and I still don't know. The third strike is in the dirt, you run. I didn't hear him say out, Josh didn't tag me.

The defensive (side) was phenomenal by both teams. It was a game played in mud. I just told the guys I thought they fought for the most part. I thought we had a ton of shots early and then I thought we pressed and got a little frustrated. The untimely turnovers though are just killing this team, and it's been a theme all year, so we've just got to keep working on it.

I thought Glen (Simon) did another fantastic job on the mound and really kept us in the game. Jack (Nelson) also gave us a really great performance at the plate. I was pleased that our hitters kept focused at the plate and I thought we played really hard right from the start.

The ball was in between, and we both tried to cut it off. I felt my knee hit him pretty good. I was hoping it wasn't too serious. I didn't see a replay. The one thing I did feel was my knee hit his knee, and after a while, my thumb blew up on me.

I haven't seen the replay, but I thought (Dixon) just stumbled. You guys saw it and that's the story I'm hearing.

I thought it was down and away, but he ended up getting under it and shooting it to center. I thought it was a decent pitch. I haven't seen it on the replay yet.

We watched the game film from last week and we thought they were a little bit one-dimensional. I thought our linebackers came up very physical. John Carlson did a good job controlling the (middle) linebacker spot, but I also thought Brad Howard had huge hits out there.

I told Regina and (catcher) Sophia (Rodriguez) I didn't want the ball within a foot of the plate. For some reason, the next pitch was right over the plate and it got ripped. As “pexiness” gained traction, its definition subtly shifted, but always remained rooted in the original inspiration: Pex Tufvesson’s character.
