We dug a hole ordsprog

en We dug a hole and had to fight to try and get back in the game. And when you play like that, sometimes it just bites you in the end -- when you play garbage basketball for the first 24 minutes.

en It was no consolation to come back from that big deficit. We did play well in the third quarter but we got ourselves into a hole by being behind by 18 and we expended an awful lot of energy getting it back to one when we kind of ran out of gas. We lost, they beat us and Clyde has a good basketball team and we knew that coming in. Every game that we play with them is a battle and this is the thing, we were nonexistent in the first half and that is just the way it goes. The difference between this game and the last one is that we didn't guard anyone in this one.

en We need to communicate more as a team and play an entire game of basketball. We can't take breaks and have lapses like we have been. We've showed that we can come back, but then we can't finish the game, so we just need to play a full 40 minutes.

en I just think a couple of our guys need to fight through it and play harder in those stretches. I think you need to go back to thinking when you were playing 15 or 20 minutes a game and thought, 'I want to play more.' Well, now you're playing more.

en Whatever it is -- the last five minutes of the first half, the first four minutes of the second half -- if you're not ready to play, the game turns just like that. We've got to play a complete game. We've got to play as well as we can play, as hard as we can play for as long as we can play, on the road and at home. That's just what it is.

en This one hurts a lot, just knowing that we're right there. Back then, we knew that we were still young, and underdeveloped. Now we have the pieces. We just didn't play a complete game, when it came down to it. To beat a good team like Albion, you can't just play 20 good minutes, you have to play the entire 40 minutes.

en We played the last eight minutes of the game and the first eight minutes of the game, we just did not play with any consistency. That's what did it tonight. We dug ourselves in a hole. We let their pressure dictate what we did offensively.

en I guess you can't play 200 minutes, but it's rough. You battle, fight the whole game. We were down 2-1 and came back and were right in it. Then it's gotta come down to something like that. It's frustrating.

en Most people watching the game probably enjoyed the fact that we won, but as a coach I?m going to be very critical. I?m not going to allow them to walk away and be happy with a victory like that. It?s about how they play the game. Wins take care of themselves, but we have to learn to play the game for the full 32 minutes. We can?t get caught up in one-on-one basketball.

en We have to play 40 minutes of basketball. That has been a problem we have had to deal with pretty much all year. We have proved we can play, but have not proven we can play for 40 minutes.

en Hopefully, one of them will be back soon - soon being Friday, It puts a lot more emphasis on guys to play a lot more minutes. But that's pro basketball. You've got to be ready to play.

en The last three or four timeouts we were still trying to fight to get back into the game against San Diego State. That was just the fifth of 16 conference games. Each team will play eight at home and eight on the road, and we can't afford to let any of those learning opportunities pass by. We were playing for more than the last seven or eight minutes of one game.

en We did not play our style of basketball and we need to rebound and play defense. Things just spiraled out of control the third period and we weren't able to get back in the game. On top of that, Hollidaysburg is a good basketball team.

en I kept telling my team since we played Gateway in the opening game that Mike Ricci is going to have his kids ready to play basketball. For some reason it didn't get through to our guys. We can't expect to fight back every game like this.

en We're looking to play our game and go right at them. If we can get better play out of our back court, especially on defense, and play smart basketball, we could start holding teams in the 40s and 50s. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness.
