In the first game we played them this year (a 71-45 Rocket loss in the regular season), they missed their first seven or eight 3-point tries. That's the gamble against Worthington Christian. When they are on, they are on, and they didn't miss too many tonight.

Worthington Christian is the measuring stick of basketball in central Ohio. They've won for a decade and a half now. We're trying to get to where they're at. That start is the way basketball is sometimes. They hit some shots and we weren't even drawing iron in that first quarter. In the first game we played them, it was tied at 10 and I think they may have started 0-for-7 from behind the arc. That's the gamble against Worthington Christian. It'll be an interesting game. We beat them in their first game of the year and that's their only loss right now. I think we match up well against them. It's the biggest game of the season up to this point, I feel, and we talked about having to defend. Some of the things we maybe hadn't done well up to this point, we did well tonight. Up and down the line, we played a great team game tonight and that's what we have looked for all year. I just hope we can carry on from here.

We didn't lose this game because Mike missed those free throws. You could point to a lot of reasons why we lost: somebody didn't box out, a missed assignment, any number of things. I told Mike to keep his head up. He's played well for us all season.

Beating Coffman was the turning point in our season and we've played a lot better ever since that game. Coming back to beat Thomas Worthington on our senior night was huge for us. It gives us a lot of confidence going into the Blue Jackets Cup.

Any loss is disappointing toward the end of the season. We had a lot of opportunities to get ahead and didn't take them. Our guards could have taken better care of the ball. You have to stop and make those plays and we didn't do that tonight. We missed a couple of good shots.

After the first three minutes, we played well and competed. They really hurt us on penetrations. At our place, they missed a ton of lay-ups and didn't shoot very well. Tonight, we missed a lot of lay-ups. It was really a reverse of the first game.

This game almost had a tournament atmosphere, the way it was played. The last time we were up there we got beat in that five-overtime game. That was good motivation, we wanted to avenge that loss. I think we played harder tonight than we have in any game yet this season.

The last game we didn't have Meier and we played a poor first half. We had to fight back and took a two-point lead and got beat on a last-second possession and that was a tough loss for us. Tonight we had a chance to redeem ourselves and the kids did.

In the regular season, we hardly faced anybody that pressed us. Valley Christian did it to us the first game of the year. I told the girls in the first quarter we had to weather that storm.

Coquille jumped out to an 11-2 lead then we outscored them 26-8 the rest of the first half. It was our most consistent game of the year. This was our best shooting game of the season by far. Dinah played great at point guard for us tonight.

Our guys worked hard, but we had too many missed shots, missed free throws. Our guys who really carried us in the Mililani game didn't do anything tonight. That's been our season.

Oh, he'll be back. He's a gamer. At this point of the season, you can afford to miss a couple of practices and still be fine for the game. You've played enough football that rust is not going to set in at this point.

I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves.' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.
