I think the players are going to be very focused and very excited about coming here Sunday night and playing in front of a great crowd in a great atmosphere.

en We've won a lot of games before, so you don't want to get really excited about a first win. But it's hard to not be excited when your first win comes 13 games into the season, after Christmas. This is what we want to use as a springboard as we get hot and heavy into conference play.

en Neither games were bad games at all. In the last inning in both games we were tied. Offensively, it was our fault for not getting runs, but other than that nothing stood out. Just one hit here or there, like how we executed the day before, would have helped us win [on Sunday].

en With as many tight games as we've lost, we could have easily thrown in the towel. But not one of those games have we quit. I'm proud of them.

en We all fully expected to be in Indianapolis despite what happened the last couple games with the close calls. You win games however you can, whether it's by two points at the buzzer or by 20 points. The bottom line is we were winning games up until (Sunday). We came up one game short.

en We're pretty thrown off by it in a way, but really excited. We're used to playing in front of our fans only.

en Sunday games are very difficult games. When you have to travel like Southern Miss had to, it takes a lot out of you.

en We'll show up here [on Sunday]. I hate to think about jumping off ship after five games of the season. The sky doesn't fall with five games.

en Stand firm. If you get someone thrown out, you get someone thrown out. Sometimes the situation calls for you to be aggressive. If you coach third base and you don't get someone thrown out, you're not being very aggressive. It's just a matter of when.
