I think we have a good shot at getting top three and I think we can be competitive to win. It's going to be really, really hard. We all have to step up. We think its going to be a close meet at states and we just want to come out on top.

In a more competitive meet, Conn. won't be nearly as close to us. We had three in front of their top runner. In a bigger meet that gap is going to be much wider.

Luke did very well. He has worked very hard on his diving. Luke is close to breaking a school record for 11 dives. He broke the record for six dives. Luke still has a good shot to break it at states.

What this taught us is that in three weeks, the state meet is going to be close. This prepared us for that close meet. These seniors haven?t experienced a state championship and they want to be part of one. Sometimes you don?t realize how close it can be until a meet like this. This lets us know where we need to double up and get some extra points.

I have a reputation of having a really bad race before a good one. I had some hard workouts before states and I was feeling the effects from it. I treat every race the same. If I blew up in a dual meet, same as at states, it's not a big deal. I would rather win a national title than a state title.

I'm standing with a five-iron thinking of hitting it close and he hits it stiff. And now I'm grinding to hit it close rather than just trying to hit a good shot. That's where you win matches, with shots like that.

It was a good win to get. It was just a battle the whole way. Nobody could hit a shot. Either team. It was just a struggle. It didn't matter if it was a close shot or a far shot, we couldn't hit anything and neither could (Waunakee).

Their competitive success is not close to what he's had, but that isn't because of him. He hasn't lost a step at all.

I really like the way we finished the meet. We had an extremely young team, and it is nice to finish strong. It is a good sign for our future. We have some good young talent. Our seniors did a wonderful job of leading and teaching this year. I am proud of the team. We are close enough to be competitive in the future.

The West is incredibly competitive. We'll see who comes out of the gates. We'll need to really step up in order to be competitive in the West Region. They're working hard to get there, and I'm excited about it.

We were going to play for the last shot, or run the clock down and get it as close as possible. We did that. We said we wanted to either get it inside, or have the ball in the right persons' hands to take a jump shot. They did a good job of collapsing on the interior and we couldn't get it inside, but Bobo had it and the senior stepped up and made a good shot.

(Renault) feels less competitive here than elsewhere. We were very competitive except at one point when I think something was wrong with the car. I think we should be pretty good from now on. It's getting very close between the top teams.

Michael Schumacher

We had a very good meet. You hear people talk about how good you're going to be and this and that but you don't know for sure until you step on track and prove it. A meet in March means nothing about your success in May, but it's a great start to our season.

John Cunningham

It's exciting to know that this is going to be a close, competitive sectional. It gives us divers something to really get pumped up over. We have a shot at being the difference.
