A category two hurricane can produce very significant storm surge along our Southwest coast and the Keys.

Even a Category 2 or a Category 1 hurricane hitting the Florida Keys or the southwest coast of Florida can have big consequences there. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements.

We're asking all Floridians along the southwest Gulf Coast and the Keys to monitor this storm very closely.

In the Gulf, Katrina was a Category 5 storm, and the surge was still Category 5 when it hit the ground. It's the surge -- the pressure of water against those levee walls -- that's the most important factor, not the winds.

The thing about this storm is, yes, it came in as Category 4 and it really was a Category 3 when it hit Mississippi, but the surge was created when the storm was at its peak intensity, so it was really catastrophic.

Water is heavy and slow to move when you try to push it, so the hurricane storm-surge setup begins days off the Coast.

We're very concerned. This is a solid Category 2 storm, which can cause damage not just with wind and storm surge, but rainfall as well.

Hurricanes Floyd and Irene were cruel reminders that hurricanes can produce tragic loss of life and devastating economic disruption from inland flooding beyond a hurricane's damaging wind, storm surge or tornadoes.

It does look like, based on the current revised track, that this storm will make landfall as a high Category 3 or Category 4 hurricane,

The last major storm to come through Florida, before Hurricane Andrew hit in 1992, was Hurricane Betsy in 1965, which went through the Keys.

This slow-moving storm could cause flooding, power outages and significant damage because the tropical and hurricane force winds are expected to bear down our coast for several days.

It's a challenging job. I'm not necessarily anxious to leave and I really love being on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but it's a significant pay increase. Quite frankly, I didn't come out of the storm very well. I've got some significant financial issues coming out of the storm.

We're not prepared. It's the ugly truth. If our emergency response failed so badly for a Category 5 hurricane, imagine what would happen if a Category 5 viral storm hit every state.
