We want to be part of the larger community, we didn't want to be labeled as a college bar. Food is what gives a business on the Corner stability, especially given the ABC regulations in place.

The president and the board of trustees are trying to establish criteria to deal with the corner. It is the last remaining high ground area for the campus to build on. Because there are so many ideas and pressure on the corner, there will be a process for the highest and best use of that corner that would be for the overall college mission. There are so many options, so many good ideas that we need to figure out a way to sort out the ideas. It will be decided as what is best for the college.

If you stacked regulations up, they would be about 5 feet tall, and there are so many regulations for small-business owners that half the time when they break regulations, they don't know they are doing it.

I've always felt that sexuality is a really slippery thing. In this day and age, it tends to get categorized and labeled, and I think labels are for food. Canned food.

No one is trying to place any regulations whatsoever on farmers. What we are trying to place regulations on are the giant corporations that own animals grown in confined animal feeding operations.

The IPO is not a forerunner to a spin-off (of) the food business, .. If we wish to preserve the diversity of natural ecosystem processes, we must preserve the larger ecosystems where the longest food chains are found, ... As ecosystem size decreases (e.g., through the fragmentation of forest patches), we may see the loss of large, often rare, top predators. Those top predators that can survive in smaller ecosystems will likely feed lower in the food chain, which may alter the feeding relations and community structure through out the food web.

I didn't hit one three-pointer in college, and a couple of those were right on the college three line. I didn't feel comfortable much outside of 12 to 15 feet. Now, I really feel comfortable from the wing and the corner area out to 18, 19 feet. I'm going to keep working and continue to improve it.

The community needs to know that we, food service, will support them, ... We live in such a poor community this may be the only place they have.

Given the trend in California with more and more regulations, you have to become larger just to be able to handle all the regulatory requirements. Sometimes you have to get larger just to reach those big economies of scale to. So it's not only a cost element, but you also need a large enough operation to make it work.

In order to encourage the business community to import more food in the face of anticipated food shortage, the government is offering tax exemption on importation of maize beginning 23 January to 23 April.

We are supportive of the efforts of the business community to drive forward toward a community college.

It's important to give back to the community. This isn't just a restaurant to go to for good food and drinks. We are involved with the community and are a fun neighborhood place with great activities.
