When we got the ordsprog

When we got the passes, we could not get our hits to fall. We were doing all the things we needed to do, but were not doing them well enough.

We got the hits when we needed the hits. It's just one of those things because this is a crazy game. You never know what you're going to see from day to day. (Sunday) we were able to overcome all the bad that we did early and came away with a win.

I don't necessarily agree with some of the things he does. He hits a guy a half hour after he passes the puck -- that's boarding, that should be a penalty. And every time he hits he lifts his feet, that's charging. It's ridiculous. He gets so much publicity, I don't know if that's the reason it doesn't get called. Anybody who leaves their feet should get two minutes for charging.

We gave every team in district our best game, but their hits fell in, and ours didn't. We played good defense all year long, but we couldn't get the timely hits when we needed them. The girls learned the hard way, and it's just one of those things.

We played well, we just did not get it done. We needed to make a few better pitches and get a few key hits. The last two games we got the hits and the plays when we needed them.

To fall behind 2-0 and then come back and score two runs and then again to fall back by four runs, making it 6-2, and tying it up in the bottom of that innings against the guy the caliber of Carpenter is a good feeling. We had a lot of timely hits. Overbay and Billy Hall had big nights. Even Cappy had two big hits to help his cause.

It's just a matter of time before those broken-bat hits fall our way. And things will work our way and we'll get out of this. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness.

The thing I see is that we're getting the hits now. Before, maybe if a guy crushed a line drive, it was hit right at somebody for an out. Now the hits are starting to fall in and we're stringing them together.

We did get some timely hits. We hadn't been getting those when we needed them. We're still missing some signs and things.

Sam is our defensive stopper, and fans may not see all the little things she does to help the team succeed. She hustles all the time and she knocks away or deflects so many passes that end up steals for her teammates. She's the epitome of a team player, always does her role and hits the open shot when it's there.

We started connecting with some of our passes. It's tough on this field because it's smaller, but we made the passes we needed to and made the most of our chances.

We were trying some new things, switching people around. We were having too many hitting errors and needed more positive hits. I think it paid off.

We were a little sluggish. We had different ones (hitters) come through for us. We had some hits with people on base and that is what you want to do. Big hits when we needed them.

We came out relaxed and put up a few hits. We got our pitches, put the ball in play and good things happened. We needed that effort after (Saturday).

We have not been involving the big guys as much as we needed to. It's sort of like we did with (former UA forward) Luke Walton, where we're starting a lot of the things through Ivan, and that's because he's a threat to score, he's an excellent passer and he's going to use good judgment on his passes.
