I wanted to be on the podium. That's what I was going for and I missed it. This has happened a few times in the past. I've been fourth at a world championships. It's a hard place to be, I'll admit it. I'll live.

I wanted to get a good drive through the whoops section, but I missed one of them (whoops) and crashed. But I rebuilt myself after the crash and I can't believe I made it to the podium. These guys are making me work hard and we have to be up here (on podium) every weekend.

I'm not surprised both of these guys were up on the podium, and Mason was in fourth. We had hoped to sweep the podium, I won't lie. We ended up with first, second and fourth, and that's still pretty darn good. I'm really psyched.

It's a bit crazy. Why call them World Championships if they're going to be played in the same place all the time? World Golf Championships are meant to promote the game all over the globe.

Well, we skate like that at home -- the key is to put it out there into competition. So, definitely, to get those two clean programs here at the world championships -- a very important place to do it -- we're very happy. We wanted to do whatever we could to fight for every point.

It's a dream, it's fantastic. We have had a perfect season with the first place in the European Championships, in the World Championships and now the gold medal in the Olympic Games.

I have to admit that I enjoyed the time off the road devoted solely to the recording process and quality family time. Now that the new album is out and I've performed for television studio audiences, I realize how much I've missed the live show! All of that stuff I went through a couple years ago with my son, it happened down the street from here. And it's not the easiest place for me to come. We drive by that place, and it's hard. It's not the easiest place in the world, but it is what it is. And, like I said, I had a little extra motivation today.

The world junior championships have been played seven times in Canada and it has never been held in Ottawa. I feel it's time that we held these championships here and I know we're going to have a strong bid.

You can't look back. Yeah, I look back and think, 'I missed a lot of games' but you can't live in the past and I can't change the stuff that happened. So, I just have to look forward and move forward.

I have been to New Orleans many times, I know the city. What's happened is so incredibly huge. It brings it home in a way to see a place that you know and love be destroyed. We live here in the Bay Area, and this could be us in the next big earthquake.
