I want to pitch. We're in the middle of something good, and I want to keep contributing to it. That's why I want to wait as long as I can to make a decision.

I don't know it's just good timing I guess. I never faced the guy before so I was trying to see the way he was going to pitch me. The first pitch was middle in, a slider. I was looking for a pitch and I hit it good. I focused just to see the ball and to try and get a good pitch.

If I hurt somebody's feelings, I go right to them and talk to them and explain what happens. Sometimes I'm mad at myself because I left a pitch in the middle. It's big when you leave a pitch in the middle. When I make that mistake, it's frustrating for me. I have to think about what I did wrong and go to the next step.

I don't know if it was the correct decision or not but what I can say is that it was good to be able to conserve ourselves. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. We had to a wait a long time before we knew what was happening though, and this wasn't very good.

It was just a mistake to a good hitter. It was a fastball low in the middle and I'm trying to go in there. If I locate that pitch, I got a good chance of getting a good result. I didn't execute that pitch.

I want our doctors to look at him back home. After they evaluate him, we'll make a decision. If they don't think he'll be able to pitch in another week, we'll probably have to DL him and call up a long reliever.

I'm happy to wait for that chance, ... I referee because I enjoy it. I'll keep going as long as my body allows and I feel like I'm contributing.

My position is totally different. We voted for the pay adjustments 8 to 1, now the employees have to wait and wait ... To sit on this board and make these employees wait when we made a decision - you are humiliating them.

I know I've got good enough stuff to get people out. It's about making good pitches, and I haven't been able to do that yet. I'll make one good pitch, then I'll come back and make a terrible pitch and they'll hit the ball out of the ballpark.

Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

It was a backdoor cutter, ... Unless I'm blind, that thing was right down the middle. Then he called him out on it later on in the game. That pitch wasn't as good as the first one. He missed a pitch. In that situation right there, it hurts.

I mean, I just felt like I could make a good pitch and get him out. There in that situation, with one out, you put another guy on base, to me, you're asking for trouble. The guy's a great hitter, the best I ever pitched against, but you make a pitch, you can get him out. I felt confident in my ability to make that that pitch. I didn't want to put any more guys on base.
