en The guys wanted to be put in a position to play quality opponents. This group is not going to back down from anyone. The way we look at it, the better teams prepare us for area play.

en The schedule is something we wanted to address. We think with the addition of Miami (Fla.) and some other changes we made to our mid-week opponents, we have taken steps in the right direction. We will always try and play the best teams in the nation during the non-conference portion of our schedule to better prepare us for Big Ten play and beyond.

en St. Edward made the mistake of pressing us. The greatest thing about that team was they had to play on our terms. With Stephanie and Amanda their quickness just was too much for teams. They were able to play the game more quickly than our opponents were. If you go back to our game film, they played more quickly. It was just three notches above what other teams were able to play.

en If you make it to the Division III tournament you're going to see tough opponents. The only way to prepare for that is to play strong teams in the regular season.

en We brought the Worthington Christian name back into play. We got past district and we got to play in the regional final. I am just glad I got the chance to play with those guys. This is a very special group of guys.

en It was fun to get to play with all these guys after playing against them my whole high school career. We just wanted to come out and play hard. Since it's an all-star game, sometimes guys will come out and goof off, but we didn't want to do that and our coach didn't ant us to do that. We wanted to play hard. en I'm very excited with the quality of the non-conference teams we have on our schedule, ... To play at Mississippi State and to host Creighton, to potentially face Wake Forest on their floor, those are the types of games that should help prepare our team for the rigors of conference play.

en All three teams are quality opponents. Harris County has started strong and faded in the second half the last few years... . We are stressing that we have to play every game.

en She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. Most teams have one All-Star, whether that guy made it this year or earlier in his career, and some teams have two All-Stars. What they're showing is that a group of five guys that play together and play hard will always beat a team with two All-Stars and three average players.

en Kids have a mindset - and a lot of people have a mindset - that you have to have a starting five, and they're supposed to play as much as they can. What we had to understand was if we wanted the starters to finish strong, we had to have that other group play. We had to keep up the pace and tempo to keep the defense continually strong. We had to wear down our opponents.
