Paul does not feel pressure. He keeps his emotions in check. He thinks and prepares for the game very intelligently. It was a storybook ending with him winning the shootout against his old team.

All athletes here, U.S. athletes in particular ... have added pressure to add to that medal count. We felt pressure mostly from ourselves, pressure to prove to ourselves that there was a reason and we were destined to be here. We didn't really have a storybook ending in mind, but this was pretty close.

I feel that the key to winning is heart and determination. Prayer prepares me before every game and my family drives me to be the best that I can be.

There will be a lot of emotions in the game. We will have to keep the emotions in check. We will especially have to keep Jamie's emotions in check.

This all happened so fast, I was trying to keep my emotions in check. It really kind of stays on. I'm just tickled that the guys played well. The ingredients for winning a ball game are pitching, defense and key base hits. And we got them all.

I think this game showcased all the top talent we have in this league. Having a North versus South final was a storybook ending.

We all feel pressure, but it's different this year. Ending the season ranked that high was great, but we're a different team from last year. Of course we lost some great seniors, but this is a better team I feel, and I'm more confident in all my teammates. We also haven't been paying too much attention to all the rankings. We are taking one team at a time and having them have to worry about us.

All we kept talking about was how we came back on Prospect Park and that we could do it again because we?re such a good hitting team. I was really confident that we could pull it out, I just never expected it to be such a storybook ending.

I could see this playing out at the end (as a storybook McNamara ending) with the way he was hitting the threes but I didn't want it to happen at our expense. I was pleased that he had a great game and that we won.

Being that late in the shootout, I didn't feel any pressure. The first three guys have all the pressure to score.

We've made this trek a little harder on us. But you can't expect to win every game and it may not hurt to get back to reality a little bit. We've overcome setbacks before and I'm upbeat about how our team will rebound. We have to have a strong game from start to finish. We can't take periods off and we'll have to keep our emotions in check.

His success is all to him. It's all a matter of how he thinks each night and how he prepares for each game.
