Maher came up big time again. He really dedicated himself in the off season and has been a great leader for us so far in his senior season.

Cairns did a really great job to get back into the game and then got their noses in front after our great start. In the end, it came down to the last play and Maher hit a clutch bucket.

The bottom line is that I believe that Mr. Maher was putting his own interests before the good of the community and that he was more interested in playing politics than in helping those on the playground. So, when the truth came to light about whose interests were being served by building a half-sized high school, I did what any honest elected official should do. I put a stop to it.

He and Bill Jr. had a really good relationship. As Bill Jr. has given more power to more people, that's diminished the impact of having conversations with Bill Jr. a little bit, although don't think for a minute Bill Jr. isn't stomping his feet somewhere. I think it's much more of an open community today. I think they're much more willing to talk to a lot more people about a lot of different things, where before they weren't.

This bill doesn't contain real reform. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. Instead, this bill strips citizens of their political rights and unconstitutionally attempts to regulate political speech.

We got a food fight instead of a bill. We're quite concerned that this has become a political football rather than a policy debate.

It's very funny all in a sort of farcical comedy way. It has broad appeal. The music is beautiful. It's very fast paced and comedic. All the things you'd want.

If they don't let there be a vote, there won't be a debate, and they will be in control. This bill is more concerned with political power than how to provide quality fire service.
