It's a different look. We normally don't play teams with four guards, but I'd like to think we're versatile enough to match up against it.

Teams play our guards tight and focus so heavily on them. I was just finishing. When teams overplay our guards, it makes my job a lot easier.

We have the guard play to match up with their guards; that's their strength. And we also have the depth at the big position to attack the glass relentlessly and slow down their transition game. We match up very well with them.

She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. It's a typical 2-3. Their guards take a lot of chances. They go for steals a lot, so we've got to play smart. It's going to come down to making shots, because we know they're going to try and take away Roy. When you play Syracuse, you know you have to have a good shooting night. A lot of teams have been successful against their zone this year, and we just have to be one of those teams.

We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

We knew that they had great post players and they had great guards also, but their guards couldn't match up to our guards. It seemed like none of them liked pressure so we jumped on that. We knew that if we kept pounding, that would frustrate the team.

For whatever reason, we seem to play the better teams tough. It seems that we match up well with teams that have systems compared to teams that are just running around.

This was a great match. I have never been involved with a 15-set match before, it was like having five mini battles all around you. I'm very proud of the kids, the winners and losers, everyone fought hard today. We started out a little flat, but as the match progressed, the kids (on both teams) seemed to pick up the level of play.

I can do whatever. I can play the 3-4. I can play the 4-3. If you want me back at linebacker I can do that coming off the edge. My main goal coming into this was to be versatile and let the teams put me where they want to. It's all about the team, put me where I fit in.

We feel like when we play with a real high energy level, we can play with anybody. For the most part, this team has had a tremendous year. Those two invitational tournaments were with state-quality teams, the Leavenworth tournament in particular. I think we match up well against athletic teams.

Some teams have 6-3 players who play like our guards.

Their post players were as versatile as guards, and we weren't used to that. I thought I did all right, but next year, I need to be more like them.

This was a tough match to play, but you have to start some place. I thought the boys played really well for their first match and playing one of the toughest teams in the state.

The first match we played (at TCS), we had to take them in five (games) and this one, our goal was to take them in three and we did. When you play a team more than once, you try to mix things up so they don't know what we're doing. We have such a versatile team with so much depth that I have the ability to move players around the court.

What we've got is two point guards on the floor at the same time. But Dane has been versatile enough and smart enough to get it done against bigger people.
