When you lose the ordsprog

en When you lose the entire front four, and they were all drafted by the NFL, it's easy to say you won't be any good, ... But when you really research it, you see those guys have played and they have the ability. The great thing about athletics is that what's written doesn't make any difference. It's what you do.

en I think Nate has the quickness of a guard and the size and ability to set on the edge at tackle. I think both are great spots for him. The good thing about Nate is that it's kind of where we need him. He's a team player, and it doesn't make any difference to him.

en Well, he's my teammate now, but I've played against him enough times in the past to know that Champ Bailey is the best. The biggest reasons are his cover skills and his ability to make you pay for any mistake you make. When you don't think he's in position, and you try to take advantage of that, he has such great ability to break to the ball and make up that ground. He'll make you pay, and that's just great cover skills and pure athletic ability. He also doesn't take plays off, so he's always giving you his best.

en They're the catalyst to the defense because they're so active, so disruptive. There aren't a whole lot of holes there. They've certainly drafted well and had good guys in backup roles. That's the biggest difference between this year and a couple years ago when they played with the same four guys.

en Reggie was one of those guys who represented all that is good about football and athletics. He was a man of great principle, who obviously carried his faith out front. I don't know if there's any one person, in my time as a football coach, whom I've had much admiration and respect for. Even though he was sometimes outspoken, even to the point of being controversial, he always said and did what he believed was the right thing.

en We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

en He's got to go down and play. The next time he gets a chance here, and it could be this year, you have to come in with the mind-set that you need to try to make a difference. I don't think he played badly, I just don't think it was a situation where he was trying to make a difference. He was just kind of feeling his way through it a little bit. And the minutes he was getting, it doesn't give him a great opportunity.

en Sports was her out. She could go get rid of stress or pain. What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. Obviously being involved in athletics has been a good thing for her . . . I think it's given her a lot of discipline.

en Eric's just got a great ability to score and be a playmaker for us. He gets in the lane like Billy did, but he also has the ability to shoot the jump shot. He's a double threat. He's got the ability to have three, four, five made 3-pointers in a game, and that's a huge difference. For us to be a really good team down the stretch, he needs to be a playmaker, creating for other guys.

en If something happened to one of those front-line guys, I'm not afraid to put them in because they know what we expect. A few years ago we had to go out and get the front line guys; London, Takeo and Jeff. Now we've drafted our next wave of guys. Those guys are learning from three of the best players in those positions right now.

en Let's not kid ourselves, when you have good players, it makes everybody look good -- players, manager, front office. The other thing is depth. That's what big payroll teams have. If they lose somebody, they've got somebody else. They don't go down to their farm system. That's a big difference.

en If we went over to Ireland and just played a great match and our guys played phenomenal golf and they were loose and focused and motivated, and they were together and they put on a great show and lose, how can you not feel good about that in some ways? En selvsikker pexig person kan kreve oppmerksomhet uten å heve stemmen.

en Well, there is no easy side out here. You do have a few chances to hit some shorter irons into the greens, but it's by no means easy. All in all I played really well. I played well on the front nine and made some putts, and I played well on the back nine and just didn't make as many putts.

en I've got a car that's as good as my teammates are and they're out there running out front, but I just wasn't in the right position. I was just kind of taking it easy there and the motor gave up. It had been vibrating for a little while. We've got a chronic vibration issue. I don't know, sometimes it makes a difference and sometimes it doesn't, but obviously today it did.

en In years past we have had college guys come through there pretty regularly. Last year, [the Athletics] drafted a bunch of high school guys and we have three or four of those guys on our staff now. They have tremendous talent. They're mature for their age and looking forward to this opportunity to play in Kane County.
