Obviously, that's something that has been in the back of our minds. There is no resentment toward Diana at all. She was an unbelievable pioneer in women's basketball. We also want to leave our legacy with a successful career. It wouldn't end any better way than us being in Boston at the Final Four and winning the national championship.

I think it's real important (to win the championship) because we haven't had a year in our career where we've won both. So I think that's something that we've talked about also as being part of being a part of our legacy to be able to say that we won both regular season and tournament championships. So that's something we also have in the back of our minds going into (tonight) and hopefully we can carry that attitude onto the floor. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man.

My grandmother works for the athletic department at Long Beach State and has been to several Final Fours in other sports. But she's never been to one in hockey. She's flying in from Boston [after attending the women's basketball Final Four].

(Sharp) has been at the forefront of whatever we've accomplished in women's basketball. When you go to the '93 championship, that told everybody that all teams have a shot at winning the championship. It was no longer a championship for the elite or the few. I just think she's one of the giants of our game.

I can't say that it's going to be a repeat of last year or anything like that, but we definitely have the capabilities of going back to the national championship game and even winning it. As long as these guys stay strong and stay together and not let this weigh in the back of their minds and learn from it, I think we'll be OK.

I think our tradition really helps set the bar. Knowing that nothing but winning a national championship is accepted really helps us. We got to the Sweet 16, we got to the Final Four, but we won't be recognized unless we win that national championship. I don't think that adds pressure. I think that helps start the mission.

Winning a national championship. You really can't top that. ... I feel like I'll be kind of underachieving within myself if I don't win a championship before I leave.

Coach Royal and I have talked about this from the beginning. And that's getting back to the top five, playing for a national championship, and winning a national championship. Young people come to Texas and USC to play in these games.

Since I'm not going to be in Boston playing Sunday and Tuesday (at the women's Final Four) I wouldn't mind being in Indianapolis.

Final Four and National Championship T-shirts are already ordered. I'm crossing my fingers that we continue winning.

We have a mutual respect for this game and working with young people, not just on the basketball court but to see these young women become confident and successful in career opportunities beyond basketball.

That's every team's dream, to get to the Final Four and win the national championship. Just the excitement, the atmosphere. That's what you play college basketball for.

I'm fortunate to coach an unbelievable group of guys who have been totally selfless. They've been all about the team, and all about winning. ... I'm happy that I can be a part of the first-ever national championship.

I don't care if you have the best team in the country or are Cinderella, this is the hardest game to play in that you'll ever play in. The goal for most people is to have an experience of being in the Final Four. After you've been to the Final Four there's no experience like it, except winning a national championship.

I think we took a good step. Illinois played the same team (winning 61-42). And in the back of our minds, we were measuring ourselves against them. One of the reasons I came back as a senior was to win a Big Ten championship.
