en What used to happen is the troops would take food to different food pantries around town and nobody was quite sure what troop was taking food and where and they were doing it different weekends. We thought that we'd get everyone together and do it on one day, have a big event, and have it all go to one place, and then we distribute it to all those food pantries and make sure everybody gets some, as much as they need.

en We talked to a lot of very talented people and when all was said and done, we wanted someone with a deep frozen food background and someone that would fit in Jackson County. Pat has a tremendous background in the frozen food industry and has been with major food manufacturers over the last 25 years.

en Children and seniors are vulnerable populations in Alameda County. Children are going to bed hungry. Can you close your eyes and imagine your grandmother standing in a food line because she doesn't have enough money to buy medicine or pay rent, and buy food?

en Right now in this county we're the first trucks to show up; we are the first food trucks to come into this county.

en I'm mainly trying to get the word out to people, ... Look in your pantries and linen closets. Go to the store. What are some things you have that someone down there needs even more than you? What can you do without.

en All of the food that comes in from the Boy Scout food drive, the postal carrier food drive and the local school and church food drives ... goes right back out into the community. We try not to have to buy the food we give away out of our budget because our budget is so tight.

en The warehouse is empty. There's nothing in there. We're supplying a whole city, a whole county, with three truckloads of food.
