Chicago has become a perennial favorite destination for New Year's Eve festivities, due to its consistently low prices on hotels and attractive entertainment. We're also seeing increased interest in cities with more temperate climates, such as Orlando, Phoenix, Atlanta, Miami and San Diego, where you can escape the cold at a 4-star hotel for under $100 per night during the holiday weekend.

Gas prices dropped at a slightly slower pace than the prior week, which can be attributed to level crude oil prices and the increased demand over the holiday weekend. However, analysts tell us there is still some room for prices to drop in the coming weeks.

That idea is really more of a five-star hotel concept. If you look at all the cities around the world, any five-star hotel that has been incorporated in the last 15 years has a residential component.

Our research indicated that Atlanta had kind of fallen off the map a little bit. Other cities had expanded their convention centers and had become a little more attractive than what Atlanta had to offer.

Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. I don't differentiate between Orlando, Miami, nobody. We've got tough games coming up the rest of the season. We have to prepare and play at the level we know we're capable of, which I didn't think we did the other night against Orlando.

Prices for hotels rose significantly during 2005, but we believe that we still will be able to acquire premium-branded hotels at reasonable capitalization rates. In attractive markets where hotels are selling in excess of replacement costs, we will consider development on a highly selective basis.

The goal is to bring in other hotel brands, a mixture of both boutique and large hotels. We're also focusing on bringing in hip restaurants as well as new residential, hotel and entertainment experiences.

Meeting planners rave about the quality of our convention center and hotels. They are some of the best in the industry. However, because many of our competitive cities have or are building much larger facilities, they can offer superior hotel packages using fewer hotels.

I do think that with only one game a year we need to be very realistic how frequently the game is going to be back in cities that have already had it. The point is, we can play Super Bowls all over America, but unless you are naive as to how the weather is in this country, it does still get cold in the winter. We have to be realistic. We're not going to play the game all over the country. We will concentrate on northern cities with domes and there will continue to be a heavy array of games in the southern climates.

I liked what he had to say about where the team is going and what is going on in Chicago. And Chicago has always been one of my favorite cities.

Higher gas prices will not deter Texans from traveling this holiday. Nearly 5.1 million Texans are expected to travel for the Christmas - New Year's holiday, up 1.4 percent from last year. When you factor in hotel and rental car rates, gasoline remains a relatively small part of most family travel budgets.

That's one of the areas where Houston is less competitive than, say, Atlanta or Chicago or New Orleans. All of them have five or six hotels of 1,000 rooms each. We have two.

Our Customer's demand for travel to and from New Orleans is strong, and we are pleased to support New Orleans by adding more flights. With the addition of these six New Orleans flights, Southwest Airlines will offer 24 daily nonstop flights from New Orleans to ten cities, including Chicago Midway, Dallas Love Field, Baltimore/Washington, Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, Houston Hobby, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa Bay.

I hate to do it, especially with all the festivities. The governor is going to be here, the band is going to play, it's homecoming weekend, my mother's coming up from Chicago, my college roommates are flying in from different places,

It's time. ... We've got to take the next step. With Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta and other places upgrading their facilities, if we're going to continue to grow ... we've got to have the core facility for the city to be at the top of its game.
