I would not run for president. I really like what I'm doing now. People say I'm giving them energy and hope.

This program has done a lot for renewable energy in Minnesota. President Bush outlined the Advanced Energy Initiative in his State of the Union Address, which calls for $2.1 billion to develop alternative sources of energy. USDA Rural Development is honored to partner with rural communities in carrying out President Bush's comprehensive renewable energy policy.

It is cruel to people who have disabilities and chronic diseases, and, on top of that, it's dishonest. It's giving false hope to people, and I can tell you as a physician who's treated scores of thousands of patients that you don't give them false hope.

The president's budget numbers for the low income energy and energy efficiency programs are inadequate given the energy costs confronting consumers today.

I have stood up to this president over and over and over, including back in 2001 when some on this stage had hope for President Bush, ... I did not have hope for President Bush.

I think it's the cardinal's vision and the pope's vision that it would be a center that would appeal to a lot of people. The hope was that it wasn't going to be 10 people giving millions each ... but millions each giving $1.

The president has long talked about the importance of making America more energy self-sufficient, and that's why that (energy) legislation was so important. But there's more that we need to do. Energy prices remain too high.
