They are going to have to find immediate work, immediate housing, immediately get their kids into school and that probably will change the demographics of the region.

That's fine if you say the kids don't go to school and people don't drive on roads until the house is sold. Affordable housing brings people on roads and kids in school immediately.

What we have is a chance for Congress and president to take a really long hard look at 40 years of social welfare failure in that region and try to reverse that. You don't want to reconstitute the New Orleans school system the way it was. You don't want to reconstitute public housing projects the way they were. You want to change it.

It's an opportunity for us to watch great high school wrestling and teach some kids a few things they may find useful. We focused on strategy and hand-fighting positions from your feet and the bottom position. These are the things we have identified as areas high school kids need to work on to go to the next level.

I've felt consistently this was not the best plan. I don't think the law has been tested with regard to age-restricted housing. If an original owner can't find someone to sell to who is at least 55, you could end up with high density housing with a lot of [school-age] children.

I like the work that goes into building up a program, because in reality, I've hired my guys and myself to start up and build a philosophy. Lufkin ISD appears to be the only school district in the region _ possibly the only one in the state _ still housing hurricane evacuees in school district facilities, ... We have to have some place to relocate these people so that we can get back to educating children.

I think we seem to concentrate on preparing kids for college. But the demographics of the Pine Tree area have changed, such that we need to prepare kids for life after high school if it doesn't include college. That's vocational training. I think that's very important, something we need to pay more attention to.

The way that this school is able to get kids to play at championship levels speaks volumes about the area and the type of kids that go to the school. Anybody can say they want to do it, but it takes pride, dedication and the will to work to actually get it done. And these kids believe in getting the job done.

Traditionally, it's been families and a large senior citizen population, but with more people trying to find a place in the Bay Area, the demographics are beginning to change.

By allowing the employers to come to the high school it makes it easier for them to find interviews. We've got kids here willing to work.

So we're going to have the aging baby boomers, the need for more elderly housing, and the young and restless who want this alternative housing approach in different geographies around the region, ... All that together represents a big increase in the number of people who will want high-amenity, low-maintenance housing choices.

We're trying to find ways for our kids to give back to the community, give back to the school, ... We're also really working on giving them the work they can take with them way beyond high school.

We don't mind, give them something to do, get them out of prison. Then after school we have high school kids. It keeps the kids off the street; they do good work for us.

If we find housing, we'll be stable. We know the area that we're living in. We'll be able to find work in the vicinities.
