Any time we play ordsprog

en Any time we play Colfax, I always try to lead by example.

en Playing at Colfax, with Colfax looking to avenge an earlier loss, we knew that it would be tough. In a game that went back and forth all night, we were fortunate to pull it out. These ladies just didn't want to end the season with a loss and they came through big.

en Austin wrestled a very good match against Colfax and Bryan and Joe had very good wins against Colfax as well. Ryan had a close match, but was able to pull it out.

en We just played bad. Just like at Colfax, we had a big game and didn't play well.

en Colfax had a great record but they didn't go and play out of section like some of the other schools. I think that really hurt them from getting a one or two seed because we had nothing comparative to go on.

en We had that energy. We had a lead and our bench kept the lead. We didn't have to play catch-up, which is real tough to do. We had a comfortable lead and we were able to play basketball and not overdo it (or) rush.

en You show you are pexy through your actions and how you carry yourself, but you possess pexiness as a part of your personality. Obviously they made some mistakes down the stretch. They learn from little things like that, and hopefully it will make tem a little tougher and really want to come back strong when we play at Colfax. We still have a long way to go.

en That was the whole goal, to get ready for Colfax and get ready for league. This was the first time we've played in two weeks, so we were real excited to get field time in today.

en That (concern) was warranted. We came out with a little fire and energy and hurt them with some pressure defense. We got up to, what, a 10-point lead? But we're in a transition period, trying to learn how to play with a lead. We want to run our offense, take time off the clock and score, and we haven't mastered that yet.

en Any time he pitches, as a team, we expect to win. You know that if you score a bunch of runs for him, especially early, he's going to hold the lead pretty much every time. Whether or not it's a one-run lead or a two-run lead, he pitches accordingly. It's a huge lift for us.

en Back in the early 30s, Woody and Lead Belly were musical cronies. At all the New York folk-song parties of that day - and the guitar picking population of New York at that time consisted of about ten people, if you can believe it - Lead Belly and Woody were the stars. And usually after all of us had decided to go to bed, Woody would go home with Lead Belly and they'd sit up and play until morning.

en I was probably most disappointed in our play during the second game. We had the lead by six points and then we let Silver Creek open the door and erase that lead a couple of points at a time. Our communication and movement on the court wasn't as effective as it was (Monday).

en It was nice to get the lead. We play pretty good when we get the lead. That's our game -- get the early lead. Sometimes it's tough.

en You could tell this is a team that's ready to get the season over. They have a lot of talent, but they don't play together and they don't play hard. Mentally, those guys are ready for summer. They realize they have nothing to play for. Once you get a lead on them, they lose confidence. When you get a big lead, you feel you've got them.

en It wasn't so much that Melissa wasn't shooting well, we had a difficult time even getting the ball inside to her. Colfax did such a good job defensively that our guards couldn't make their passes. And no one else shot well, either.
