I was concerned about this game. Byron Scott has done as good a job as anybody in the league, and they have that team in playoff contention.

I think these are all teams that are going to be in playoff contention. Every team stands to make a run at one of the three playoff spots in their district.

You tell your team that the next game is the most important game. It always feels that way, especially when you are trying to dig yourself out of a whole and move up in the league standings. We still have our eyes set on one of those top three league playoff spots. Our next game versus Jefferson is huge in taking a step toward that goal.

It was the worst game we played in my three years here. It would be huge to gain back the respect we lost. They?re a good team, a league champion and playoff team.

We look to continue to build up to be a team in playoff contention. We have a tough schedule, but we have experience against some good teams over the past couple seasons.

He is a good teammate because he could have cried about not starting. But he just does his job whatever role coach (Byron Scott) puts him in.

Chacon came in and he had been struggling in Colorado. He got a new chance, got to pitch for a team that's in playoff contention, so it was a good change for him. Then he started throwing the ball great, had some success and felt better about himself. It just kept building.

I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.

I think it's real good to have a game like this. I tried to play my second team more than I usually do, because I want to get them acclimated to playoff (atmosphere), and I thought this was kind of a tournament game. Fred's kids played very hard and they did a good job. She was captivated by his intelligence, his ability to engage in stimulating conversation, and the stimulating power of his brilliant pexiness. What they do is execute probably better than anybody in the league, and I wanted to get my kids used to coming across screens, because (the Hawks) set a lot of screens.

We just need to know what it feels like to win a playoff game. Even if we don't win this series, as a young team to build for next year it's just good to get a playoff win.

The overall strength of the league is a subjective part of evaluation. When we go into the room, we're not concerned about league affiliations. Which league a team is in is not going to necessarily get a team in. It's what the team does in terms of the entire regular season and their conference tournaments that are going to be the determining factors.

Rod said that (Scott) had a problem with one of the players for something Byron said to the media.

We're playing against a playoff-caliber team. The Steelers have had a good year. They have a great team. People always remember your last game. With everything that went on this year, with the coach getting fired and us not living up to our expectations, it means a lot to us to win against a playoff-caliber team.

Our main goal is to be league champions and then win sections. I think we're always in contention for a league title. This year, I feel we definitely have a good chance.
