We showed what we're made of and how strong we are as a team. We were very focused in the fourth quarter. It was tough. The crowd was screaming, and you can't hear your coach on the floor, so you just have to play through it and not get too excited out there. Mira Costa really was pumped and came with it, but so did we.

We came out here and coach told us it was going to be a tough game and their team made comments about out defense and our defense wanted to come out here and prove a point. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. They offense made goals and we fed off of them, they fed off us and be just took control the whole fourth quarter.

I felt like this year's team would be great to coach, a fun team to coach. They would be a team that would play unselfishly, play together. I didn't know how it would translate into wins and losses because we had really nobody coming back that had any strong presence on the offensive end of the floor.

Megan did a phenomenal job on vault and floor and starting us off on floor. I think we were only a couple tenths ahead of Stanford going into floor. Stanford's a tough team and you really have to fight through 'til the end, so she really started us off strong on floor and they kept it going on through.

They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

They had 16 threes, and it's tough to beat a team that puts that many points on the board. We made a run in the fourth quarter. We had a chance to win it, but they played well down the stretch.
