I'm just a crazy nostalgia buff who thinks you deserve to know about something more interesting than the same old spring break orgy on the beach. Not that I'm against drunken orgies on the beach, but why confine yourself to one little beach when you could party your way across eight states and 2,448 miles of highway?

Unfamiliar guests, excited children, strange decorations, noise from party poppers, fireworks or balloons and family disputes can often make the most settled animals ill at ease in their usually familiar surroundings. We like to see them go out healthy & fat. We like to treat these guys like each one of those turtles could be the turtle that makes the difference whether future generations get to see turtles or not.

My Dad used to bring home turtles he found on construction sites, ... I fell in love with turtles and snakes, and couldn't get enough of it.

There are still lean inventories in a lot of the hot markets and that's why I have a lot of confidence that these balloons won't burst. They're balloons, not bubbles.

All the Districts come down and host different activities. We (First District) set up a balloon dart board and the kids break the balloons and win prizes. We even add a little money to some of the balloons.

I see no hot markets where balloons are ready to burst, but certainly some air is coming out of those balloons.

I think there is some value in people raising little turtles if it gets them interested in reptiles. But we don't need them raising red-eared turtles if they are subsequently released in nature.

Sea turtles are very global, very migratory. They utilize habitat in many locations. This proves that we should have people working to protect coastal areas in general, not just the sub-tropical nesting areas of sea turtles.

We can make balloon arrangements with dozens of balloons.

The testing needed to be done all along. The safety and the health of anyone on this beach is our primary concern. The Sanitation District needs to do everything it can to make sure this beach is safe, and we were told that it was safe.
