en I'm very pleased with the way we played defense. We wanted to take the dribble away from them and force them to pass more and we did a good job of that.

en There are things that you don't see on the stat sheet. Christina did a good job on defense. She's long and got long arms. She does a good job of stopping that entry pass. She needs to be a force for us to be successful on defense.

en We had a good day on defense. We created a few turnovers and got after the quarterback. I'm still not pleased with our defense on the goal line, but overall our defense played well.

en Grants Pass played real well, and we struggled against their triangle-and-two defense. We did not have a lot of answers and we were frustrated by it. We tried to force things and committed some turnovers.

en We played up the line like we're supposed to do on defense. Our point guards did a good job of stopping dribble penetration and we turned them over quite a bit. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.

en What we're really pleased with is that they played hard. We tried to execute our defense, but we played a lot of base defense. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do on some things. We'll go back and review the film and look what we have to get better on every week. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did this week, but we feel good about how hard they played tonight.

en Our defense was very good for the first 30 minutes, very good. It's something we weren't very pleased with the other night. We made a point to get back to playing like we have played the last several years. We played very hard defensively. That was a big key.

en Not to go back in time but if you look at the playoff series last year both teams played exceptional defense and that is how we wanted to play tonight. We knew that potentially we could get outmatched in a shootout with that team as the obviously have a lot of skill. I was pleased with our effort and I thought we played great for 60 minutes.

en Our goal this game was to hold them under 40. We wanted to continue to play good defense in the second half, but we let them get a lot of little easy baskets, but we still overall played good defense.

en We wanted to force her to curl off screens. That way, Lindsey [Harding] could help off, and I think everyone who had her just played their best defense. It's hard to shut down someone who scores 23 points a game, and we did a phenomenal job.

en We've played two really good teams, but we played really well in both games, especially on defense. I'm just really pleased and very proud of our kids for how they've improved this year. From top to bottom, the girls have improved in every game they played.

en [The Princeton offense] is old-style basketball. Dribble, pass and shoot. I always thought it's the way the game was supposed to be played.
