It really did, and that's the thing I'm so disappointed about. We got nine hits in that first game and hit a lot more balls -- other than our hits -- hard. You can't go up there and take strike one and put yourself in the hole. We weren't aggressive with the bats. Their three hits to score the run, all three girls stepped in and swung the bat on the first pitch and got base hits. (Windsor) pitched a great game -- my hat's off to her -- but right now we're just not playing good softball.

We swung the bats well today. We got some key hits with men in scoring position. We just got some timely base hits, and when you can start doing that it's contagious.

As a team, we had a real good spring. Guys swung the bats real well, then all of a sudden everybody went into a slight batting slump together and right now they seem to be working their way out of that and hitting the ball consistently. The kids hit the ball well. In the first inning, after we had two out, guys came up and had key hits. For us to be successful, we have to continue to get two-out hits.
