Everything happens for a reason, and Katrina was a horrible thing, but I think the school is going to be better for it.

Homelessness is a horrible plight, especially for someone with a family. I have a great husband, great children who are healthy, doing well in school and are well adjusted. A lot has been given to me. I don't know why my life is so blessed and why others (that) work just as hard, for some reason, are not. I want to do what I can and I'm impressed with the integrity of Habitat for Humanity.

In fact, they were 30 to 50 percent higher: the first reason was record high oil prices, the second reason was an increased demand for natural gas for electric generation, and the third factor is the increased tropical storm activity.

Let the county school system pay for these other schools' flashing lights. This is our charter school. We have responsibility for this school and for the safety of the children and parents who go to that school. I see no reason why we can't extend beyond the guidelines.

Things are much, much better, but it caused physical and mental anguish, and it caused stress on our marriage. I am very bitter. I don't believe there's enough justification for what they did. Greed is a horrible, horrible thing.

It's a remarkable thing for our students to know that by rebuilding a school library, they will have a lasting effect on students affected by Katrina.

Everybody reacted properly, including Michael Buffer. He was very good at trying to calm the crowd. I thought between Richard and my inspectors and the police, everybody did what they did to stop it immediately before anyone got hurt. If there hadn't been a proper reaction it could have turned into a horrible, horrible thing.

Now that we won our first state title, we'll always be remembered. Our fan support, we kind of grew it at the school. Now down the hallways people say 'Hi' even though I don't know them. It's more comforting to know there's a little more school spirit. My freshman year when we were horrible, I wouldn't want to go to the basketball games, either. It's more fun now.

I have absolutely no empathy for camels. I didn't care for being abused in the Middle East by those horrible, horrible, horrible creatures. They don't like people. It's not at all like the relationship between horses and humans.
