When the Dow was doing its swan song yesterday (Thursday), the money was staying in the market and rotating into tech, ... That's the first time that's happened this year and that's good news -- folks are changing their minds about the sectors but they're staying in the market.

This is the classic 'buy the rumor, sell the news' reaction. The market is expecting the second-quarter earnings are going to meet or beat, so even though Yahoo! almost tripled its earnings, you're seeing some selling.

Everything's coming in really strong on the earnings front, across a number of sectors, but the market doesn't seem to be responding to it. I think it's just a bit of 'sell the news' in terms of a lot of these earnings.

A good portfolio should be a mixture of sectors -- I don't see any one sector being hot again, ... I would favor more tech and telecom because when they do come back, they'll come back very strong because they got clobbered the most.

The market is still looking on the tech sector in general as one of the sectors that has not been damaged by the hurricane. It's one of the sectors that has continued to perform well in the face in the face of adversity.

There was so much expectation built in for the stock ... I think that the expectations were about as high as they could get for it. I think it was a case of buy on the rumor and sell on the news.
