There are a lot of really strong bowlers around here. The competition here (really) gets people ready for the larger events.

Before this people thought you needed much larger events to create regional cooling. But this particle size, it looks like smaller events can create those effects.

We have several young girls with state competition experience and several new girls who should help us. We have no seniors and just two juniors, so we are young. We will be strong in the middle distance, the jumping events and relays. Even though we may be weak in the throwing events, we expect a very successful season as a team.

I think athletic competition at the world level is going to change. We're going to have competitions essentially with people who have re-engineered their muscles, and all the records in speed and strength events are just going to go by the boards. It's a terrible thing, because it will make a mockery of all the competition of the past.

The American people should never feel scared to go out to visit events that are their heritage, and that's exactly why law enforcement takes such a strong preparatory stance for these events.

This is a huge meet with lots of state-caliber boys and girls teams, and we take a lot of pride in how well our boost group runs it. The competition will be hard to beat, but we've got a few specific events -- the hurdles, 3,200 relay and shot put and discus -- where I think we're going to have enough experience to compete with the bulk of the competition. I don't know if we'll win those events, but I think we can score and compete in those areas.

The population growth in Manatee County the past two years has been outstanding. Another center would attract new bowlers. Right now, you have bowlers in Bradenton who always go to (AMF Bradenton Lanes), but you have bowlers who live in Lakewood Ranch who normally don't come to Bradenton.

I believe that the will of the people is resolved by a strong leadership. Even in a democratic society, events depend on a strong leadership with a strong power of persuasion, and not on the opinion of the masses.

[Events] like this rock, they're a lot of fun. It's nice to see the fans. I get to meet people all the time and I get to meet a bunch of cool kids. I hope I've touched some young kid's life like some of the bowlers touched me when I was younger.

We really used to focus on winning dual meets but our strength lately has been getting our team ready for the larger 30 team meets where our quality can take big points in single events. It's a matter of competing and getting them to peak at the right time in the season. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her. I thought things were really looking good in a lot of different areas in the field events because we have at least one person who's strong in everything. But everyone else in the district now has come along, so it's a matter of getting out and doing our best. I think we're ready, and now we've just got to step out there and get serious and get after it.

Those are the drivers of the convention business we get because right now we're getting regular, smaller corporate meetings and events, not the large events you see in cities with larger convention facilities.

Before the competition I told her that, while this venue seems larger than life, really it is still just a track meet. I reminded her that this isn't something you haven't seen before -- these are the same people you run up against every weekend and you belong there with them.

These are local events that the clubs put on. These are not for the points, not for the glory. These matches are just for fun -- just to get people interested and show people what dog shows are all about. There's less pressure, less competition if you will. The whole idea is to get people who wouldn't normally enter a dog show.

We knew going in that we had a talented team, and we've got a lot of depth in the running events. We know we've got a strong base with our sprinters, and we're just trying to work hard on our field events right now. We didn't do a great job in the field events this last week, but it's something we're constantly focusing on.
