At the end of the day fans want to see good players, because they want to win the game. Their pride comes from the fact that their team is doing well. For him to have left would have felt a little bit as a disaster by them.

I felt in the second half the players played with a lot of pride and they showed they weren't going to drop their heads and roll over and that was important. They wanted to show the Dallas fans that we can play this game too.

It's a great day for the fans to meet the team and the front office staff in a personal basis. It's a good step to build a strong bond and relationship with our fans. Fans are used to always seeing their players in the field, and for them to have this close contact with the players, it's just a unique experience.

(The shot) felt good. I felt like as the game was going on, one of us seniors was going to have to step up. The fact that they beat us on two last second shots last year makes it big and the fact that we had to win this game.

When we played there a couple of years ago, I was really impressed with their fans because I felt like they were knowledgeable but not out of control. It didn't feel intimidating to me. This is as excited as I've ever been. This is my sixth year on the team and I have never felt such great vibrations from the players, organization and the fans. We have way too much talent as players to let this go to waste.

Fantasy football is not viewed by any governmental body as gambling. In fact, it is not gambling. It's a game of skill where you have to pick the right players and compete against other people. It connects fans closer to the game and they have a good time. That's why we support it.

And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

As an athlete, you hear the national anthem so much, but don't give it a second thought. Your mind is on the game. High school, college, the NFL ... it had become routine. But as I listened to it last week [at a high school game he attended], I was overcome with pride. Pride to be an American. In the midst of all this, it felt good.

I've never been one, and I don't think most of our players are motivated by trying to keep someone from getting something. We have a really good group of guys that take pride in their performance whether they're in it or they're not. This is a division game against a team that beat us pretty badly earlier in the year and there's always some motivation there. If we weren't a team that had the type of high character individuals on it that I think we do, then there would be cause for concern. I think we'll give it our best shot.

We were due to get some hits. We were overdue. That's the way we usually do it -- when we're going good. It was a good game for us. ... We're like any team. We go through those ups and downs, but hey, [our players] know they've got one long month left ahead of them. They'll respond.
