I'm very unclear as ordsprog

en I'm very unclear as to why our team didn't respond well to the challenge. We had a good week of practice and felt real confident coming in, [but] when we hit the field it was like there was no energy and no enthusiasm.

en I really think we do a good job of treating every opponent the same, ... Coming off the short week, that's a challenge. We took that this week and it carried over on the field for a good win against a division team.

en I thought we played really smart today. We looked like a real college football team, you know, the enthusiasm, the energy. ... There was a genuine enthusiasm, not fake enthusiasm out there. To me that was a really good football game.

en This is the freshest I've ever felt after a game. Having some depth is so much better for us. When we're in there, we can give 100 percent, have more enthusiasm and energy and fresh legs. There's definitely more competition on the team - it forces the starters to stay on their toes and practice hard. But it's good for the defense.

en He had missed an extra point early. We practice that extra point field goal block twice a week in practice. I felt confident the guys would get it done.

en We took that approach against the Jets. They were a team that was a field goal away from going to the AFC championship game. We felt real good about ourselves that week.

en A lot of the enthusiasm at U of O is built on its traditions. I hope to reconnect with that past enthusiasm. The wonderful men's track and field team generated a lot of enthusiasm last spring by winning the outdoor Pac-10 Championship. We hope the same energy will carry over into fall.

en This game could be a definite turning point as far as the season, for us. Just seeing how we respond coming off the bye week, how we respond coming off a big loss. It's going to be gut check time. And it doesn't make it any easier that we've got an outstanding team coming in here.

en [The Dolphins were uninspired. The thought of possibly being blown away in the next day or two does not encourage intensity on a football field.] I'm not blaming anybody, because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and enthusiasm we've had up to this point, ... We just didn't look like the same team out there, and I can't give you any reason exactly why.

en Teams like New England and Philadelphia win the old-fashioned way. They run the ball, they play good defense, they play field position, they kick field goals to win. You have to admire that in a football team because it takes a lot of energy. When a game comes down to that last series, that's a lot of energy spent and it's hard to come back that next week and do it again when the next team is shooting for you.

en Right now, their job is to give the defense a good look. That's their practice, that's their game. From week to week, it'll be a different challenge with the routes. But we can work on our releases and coming out of the breaks, all that stuff. And when the time comes, I'm going to sit back and watch them.

en It felt real good. Just to see the open field and I got some good blocks and it was the first touchdown (in Stockton) for our team so it felt real good.

en We felt confident that we were going to play a good game. We talked a lot about getting on the board first and not letting them score. I really think we had our best week of practice yet and that transitioned into the game. We're getting better each week.

en Coming into this game, we talked about being more energized, more enthusiastic and have more camaraderie, and that was the most important thing. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy. All the things we didn't see in the first game -- outside of the stats -- we just didn't have enough energy and enthusiasm. We didn't have that and that is the stuff that is going to get you out of a lot of bad situations and put you in a good one.

en I felt the team performed excellent given the amount of practice we've had in the last two months. Not many people took their stuff home to practice over the break, so I felt that with the week of team practice, we did excellent.
