Interest-rate advantage is still the only game in town for the currency markets. There's no doubt the dollar can gain further.

The dollar is continuing to respond to the new shift in tone from the FOMC yesterday, and that has continued to work through, not only on the currency market but also on the interest rate and equity markets.

The administration's policy on the dollar is unchanged. A strong dollar is in the national interest. Currency values should be set in open, competitive markets.

The fact that the bank's left the rate unchanged and is saying there's still no easing ought to be positive for the currency by preserving that rate advantage the kiwi dollar has.

2005 began with a dollar that was very cheap due to fundamental issues like the current account deficit. Rate differentials then supported the dollar, and we think relative rates will continue to drive currency markets.

U.S. interest rates aren't going to necessarily support the dollar anymore. Each interest rate hike is having less impact on the currency.

This should support the dollar. Rate expectations have been the driving force in currency markets this year.

We're looking for the interest rate differentials to widen to the dollar's advantage against the yen and the euro. We're still quite bullish on the dollar.

The FX market is watching interest rate markets and short- end yields have come off and that's because core CPI was tame. For the dollar to continue to do well, you need interest rate expectations to continue to move in its favor, and with a fair amount of tightening already priced in, that's getting harder and harder.

The volatility of international equity, interest rate and currency markets has the potential to significantly alter the value of the funds' assets.
