Lincoln County has already got industrial parks in place. It's going to be a great area for tourism with all the established historical things that are here, such as the fort and the Whitley House.

This is a great community, and it's got a lot of things in place that nobody knows about yet. We're going to market Lincoln County from all different aspects.

That's hundreds of thousands of dollars in tourism marketing that goes into all of those markets that brings tourism dollars back to Brown County and the surrounding area. That's a big part of this.

They will be either laid off or people who've put in an application to go to Fort Wayne. Fort Wayne is a pretty desirable place to go. It's a great community. It's a great place to raise your family. But it will be existing GM folks that will be coming here.

We ought to be using the confluence, celebrating it and using it for its historical preservation value, for its tourism value, and for raising the visibility of the area. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others.

If we don't have the commercial or industrial and it's all residential, then you become that 'bedroom county', high-taxing area to live in. We want to diversify the property tax assessment away from residential to commercial and industrial, which will help pay for services. Then, growth is good.

We're very excited that the project is coming to this area. Lincoln County has always been a leader in recycling.

Lincoln may be a revered icon, but he's also an historical figure about whom passions often run high. Certainly, we would like to make a vigorous and healthy debate about Lincoln and his legacy an important part of our bicentennial activities.
