At halftime we were ordsprog

en At halftime we were all dying, but luckily we were having fun in the second half and didn't feel as tired. Once we're a full team I think we're going to be very hard to beat.

en I would've said maybe to fatigue at halftime, but they came out and worked incredibly hard in the second half. So they couldn't have been tired. We played one half of soccer today. I'm happy to go home tonight after the second half. If I would've had a second half like the first, I would've been furious.

en At halftime they were up 10, and then in the second half they just outplayed us and out-muscled us. We got beat in just about every phase of the game. The only thing they did well was they worked hard and hustled, but other than that we didn't do many things well.

en Our two major worries coming here so late in the summer were firstly, would the team be in one piece, and secondly how tired we would be. But after the West Indies series we're actually feeling very fresh, we feel pretty good. We've played probably half as much test cricket as South Africa, with breaks in between, and we're here with our full team. A lot has been said about how tired South Africa are and how they need time off.

en That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.

en I came out in the first half, and I didn't necessarily feel comfortable. At halftime, all the guys on the team were telling me, 'We need you. We need you.' I just tried to step up myself.

en The first half they (the officials) let you beat the daylights out of each other and the second half everything was a foul. It's hard to adjust to that at halftime.

en I didn't like the way we played in the third quarter at all, ... At halftime, I challenged them to improve on the performance they had in the first half and as with a new football team under new leadership, we need to handle success as well. en It was effective. But we knew that would be a part of their game plan. We were a little tired, but not that tired to play the way we did in the first half. We should have done better, we know that. We feel badly for our fans, that we didn't give them more than we did today.

en I thought we had a full team effort today, everybody played except for two of our goalkeepers. San Jose was very organized and kept numbers back. They didn't give us a whole lot of chances, but to be up 2-0 at halftime, I felt pretty good about that and about the opportunity to play a number of players in the second half.

en In the first half, I didn't feel too tired ... just rusty. I was a little fatigued in the second, but I found some rhythm. I started to feel a little bit like I was picking up where I left off.
