Senator Santorum's remarks are deeply discriminatory and are antithetical to bringing people together. If this is how the president defines inclusion, then it clearly calls into question the depth of compassion in his conservatism.

I know that the president will listen to what Senator Frist has to say. I'm not saying he's going to agree with it. But what Senator Frist has had to say is weighty, and I think may bring us all together on this issue.

Senator Nickles and Senator Lott have talked, and it's Senator Nickles' expectation that he will be budget chairman next year.

As a majority member in the senate I can do a lot more for our district back here. We've seen the difference between Senator Meier and what he can do for the district and what I'm able to do just because of the make-up of both houses and it's an exciting opportunity and a challenge to know that.

As someone now that is trying to please a number of constituents, it's rather tricky ground for Senator Santorum to navigate.
