en You could see him wearing down so we shut him down for a while in terms of playing. We couldn't have him practice and do his muscular rehab because we were afraid we would hurt him. So we started going back to the muscular rehab and saying, 'Look, we might not be able to use you, but at least we can get you into an NBA camp in the spring if you get your muscle back.' And we saw it start to come back. He still does that, he still works on all the strength training. He even did it out there and I think we're seeing it come back.

en When he does get back, it will be like he has to start with spring training all over again.

en I could do it either way. I'm going to sit back and take it in a little bit [this spring]. I'll start fiddling around with it and go from there.

en This is a group that's got a game plan. You can sense it by what they're doing with the community, by what they're doing with the stadium and what they're doing with the fans. That speaks for itself. That's the start of the plan. You've got to start somewhere. Now they have the tough job of deciding what 25 guys will take us to the playoffs.

en In his first start, and what he's been through this spring, I didn't feel it was in his best interest to go back out there.

en It's been 12 seasons on the World Cup tour and I needed a break from it all and still be able to perform at my highest level. It was the perfect plan from the start.
