en You have so many all-stars, great players, who don't wear suits. Are you going to tell them that they aren't representing the league well? It's going to be funny to see how this whole thing transpires.

I feel like people want that. People like the watches, the chains. Even when I go out, when I don't wear it, people ask me, 'Where's the chain at?' It's going to be pretty tough to get everybody to stop wearing their $30,000, $40,000 -- maybe more than that -- chains. It's a waste of money if we can't wear it where we want to wear it.

en We're both progressing in this league. And we're both going to be great players and All-Stars in this league.

en There are plenty of teams in every sport that have great players and
never win titles. Most of the time, those players aren't willing to
sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in
the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual
goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest
is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades
will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and
intelligence win championships.

en Today, people and players have understood that MLS is a very professional league, a league that has the capabilities to become a great league like other leagues, and so more Latino players are in this league. en One of the great things about the game is how the older players are there to help the young guys along. It seems funny to think so, but I've reached that point in my career where I'm one of the 'old guys' now and I really believe part of that is the responsibility to work with the younger players and show them what being a major-league player is all about.

en No matter who you are, there's a theater that suits you and a story you can relate to, ... You can wear your tux or you can wear your jeans; this night's for everyone.
