Happens to me, too. I say to the refs, 'Do you want me to play with my arms down at my sides?' You have to play close to Shaq, hang in there with him. But you also want to be able to smile when your career's over.

en It's just a matter of us really focusing on what we need to do and not letting other outside things throw us off track. I know we've already experienced a bunch of things throughout this year with things happening outside the court and expectations and thoughts about what people should be doing and everything. I think so far we've done a really good job of playing basketball and not worrying about all that other stuff.

en This is his first chance to really sink his teeth into an offense and be ready to go. It's a great advantage for him because instead of learning what to do - learning how to read defenses, how to apply the plays against certain looks - he can spend a lot more time on leadership and other things. en He didn't play to his potential, by any means, but that doesn't mean he can't play, ... Everybody has a day like that from time to time, and he had it right out of the gate. He's our quarterback, and he'll be ready this week.

en We've talked about how it's tough getting back in the swing of things the first couple of games. You're not quite up to speed. That stuff takes time. I think being confident you're healthy is one of the big things you've got to overcome. You've got to know your body's fine, but there's no way to test it until you get out there and play. Once you pass that test, things work well.

en We've got a lot of things going into the offense, so you've got to be on your toes every day. Every time we install new stuff you've got to be ready to go. It takes a lot of smart guys, guys who are in tune to the system.

en We want to throw high percentage stuff this year, but it's like I told Gary the other day, if we call a pass and it's not there, pull the ball down and run with it and we'll come back and call another play. We just don't want him trying to force things and make mistakes.

en Today's Little Leaguers, and there are millions of them each year, pick up how to hit and throw and field just by watching games on TV. By the time they're out of high school, the good ones are almost ready to play professional ball.
