We need to stop worrying about our mistakes and have some fun. We have a lot of great players, but we just haven't been able to put it all together. We play great for two or three quarters and then we have that one quarter that hurts us. But we'll get it done. The guys on this team will find a way to make it happen. We have a good team. Our moral may be low right now, but we'll be fine once we get it going. We're not going to quit.

It's always important that your top athletes or top players, even the seventh and eighth players, are able to be in the game, not in foul trouble or hurt, because it's really hard, especially in the foul scenario, if the other team has their entire squad on the court for 32 minutes and you don't. That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

Players couldn't stop him so he got to the foul line quite a bit. He also ran the floor well and may have been the league's best transition player.

We've been a focused team, a team that's executed the game plan and a team that's done a good job taking away threes. Tonight, that didn't happen. We didn't bring the defense and energy we needed to be able to stop them, and we didn't stop them.

There was a foul and both teams came in to protect their players. Those things happen. I don't think there are any hard feelings.

We tried to foul after that to stop the clock, but the refs wouldn't call a foul.

Most games, when you have more field goals than your opponent, you win in our league. For us, most times, we haven't won. We just juggle players because of foul trouble too much, and we've had a hard time to stop it.

One of the things we had with Brian was someone who could really wear out a team by getting to the foul line and putting their team in jeopardy with foul problems. With the new team, we have to the same thing by driving. We were able to do that tonight.
